The Trento Proton Therapy Centre is a highly specialized facility that is dedicated to treating tumours through the use of sophisticated and innovative technology: proton therapy.

Proton Therapy is a type of precision radiation treatment that uses heavy particles - protons - to irradiate tumour cells.

How to access
Directions for those arriving by car
The closest exit is the A22 Brennero exit; Take the first right and at the next roundabout follow the bypass north with exit 3 or 4.
Directions for those arriving by train
After arriving at the TRENTO train station, take the bus at the Station exit:
- Bus 12 to Romagnano and line 14 to Ravina

Directions for those arriving by plane
Verona Airport “Valerio Catullo”
The closest airport is the Verona Catullo international airport . The airport offers connections for primary European destinations, including the international hubs of Frankfurt, Paris, London Gatwick, and Rome along with some economic flights (Ryanair from Frankfurt and Bremen; Transavia from Amsterdam, Germanwings from Berlin, Bonn, and London Stansted). From the Verona Catullo airport to the Verona “Porta Nuova” train station there is an Aerobus service available every day, every 20 minutes.
Once outside the arrivals terminal at the Verona airport, you will find the shuttle for the train station. (You can also ask for the “Bus for the Verona Porta Nuova train station”)
- You can purchase your ticket directly on the bus or in the airport at a ticket counter.
- The cost of a one-way ticket is €5. (You can also purchase a return ticket)
- The bus is available from 6:35 to 11:35 pm, every 20 minutes
- The trip from the airport to the station takes about 20 minutes
Milano Malpensa
The Milano Malpensa International Airport can also be considered to reach Trento.
From the Malpensa airport, take the Malpensa Express train in Milano, Stazione Nord (Malpensa Express prices and timetables ). Once there, take lie 2 of the underground (green line) to reach the central train station (ATM-MI public transport prices and timetables ). Then, from the Milan Central Station, take the train to Trento (FS train prices and timetables ). The trip takes about 3.5 hours.
Milano Linate
The Milano Linate Airport can also be considered to reach Trento. Milano Linate is only 7 km from the centre of Milan and is easily reached with various bus lines for the airport and with lines ATM 73 and X73, that will take you 25 minutes. You might also consider taking a taxi. Please note that the train from Milan to Trento takes about 3.5 hours.
Orio al Serio International Airport
The Orio al Serio (Bergamo) International Airport is a base for many economic flights (e.g., Ryanair from London Stansted, Paris Beauvais, Barcelona Girona, Valencia). The airport is easily reached by bus from Bergamo, Milan, and Brescia. To reach Trento by train you can use the ATB service that takes you to the Bergamo train station in only 10 minutes (train timetables ).
The trip from Bergamo to Trento lasts 3.5 hours.
Venice “Marco Polo”
The Venice International Airport may also be considered to reach Trento. The Venice airport is connected with the Venezia-Mestre train station. From the Venezia-Mestre train station, take the train to reach Trento (prices and FS train timetables ). Timetables and other information can be found at the airport web page and the ATVP public transport page .
The trip from Venice to Trento is about 2.5 hours.
Munich Airport
The Munich International Airpot may be considered to reach Trento. Trento can be reached directly by train from Munich. Please visit the German Railway website to plan your trip.
